If you read this, and know something about creating fonts(or know someone who does), can you send me a PM? I started making a font 2-3 years ago, and I want to get it done, but I stopped because I'm really stuck on a couple areas. I just want to ask someone who knows what they're doing some questions about the process--I'm not looking for free labor.

Can someone explain to me the humor in posting videos of yourself on YouTube "emulating" a certain genre of music you hate to "comically" "prove" how bad the genre is?

Some might argue death metal/grindcore/neoclassical shred/screamo/whatever isn't "real" music. "Real music" to whom, exactly? The only line I can draw with any kind of certainty about the nature of art is that if the creator feels what (s)he's done is art, then it is. If a band feels their music is art, good. If other people feel it is, too, great. Of course, that view begs the question, "What about dumbasses that want to act like artists, when in their minds they really aren't?" That's more a question of honesty than art, and it's very hard(if not impossible) to answer. We can talk about it until we hit a brick wall if you want in the comments, though.

Apparently, the cool thing to do these days is passive-aggressively demean everything someone does that isn't in perfect alignment with what you do. Making fun of someone is one thing, but this is being taken to an extreme level that I actually find somewhat disturbing. What are these "satirists" accomplishing other than to aid the further polarization of our world, until we eventually find ourselves in a world where everyone is literally plotting to kill everyone that isn't a clone of themselves?

In closing, if these parody videos are the new face of satire, I might as well kill myself now, as they're just one more example of how quickly the human race has devolved into a community of [insert dumb animal here].

So, Obama won(as if you didn't know). This can only be good. If Obama actually makes positive change, great. If Obama doesn't, people will(hopefully) wake up to the reality of the two parties, and we'll see real change from the people.
In my mind, if he proves that "change" is nothing but a campaign slogan(which is probable), there is no justifiable reason for anyone to vote for a Democrat or Republican again.
